I received this error message the other day while trying to install the IIS 6 Manager for Windows XP.

To resolve this problem, I needed the Admwprox.dll on my system.

I happened to get it from someone eles’s system, but you can easily extract it from your Windows XP installation media, from the i386 folder.

After getting or extracting the file, all you have to do is register it with the command regsvr32, from start - >
