Lately I’ve been watching some TV on the Internet. Basically all the major networks have been putting their shows online to watch after they normally air on regular TV. They all still have advertising bundled in, but it’s much less than typical TV commercials.
For me it boils down to these reasons why I’ve been watching online:
Convenience: It’s really nice to just load up your browser and watch some of your favorite shows. You don’t have to worry about being at home and you can attend to more important things. This same convenience factor is why people like DVR’s so much. I usually use a DVR myself, but right now it’s broken, so that’s why I’ve turned to the Interweb.
Discovery: Aside from being convenient, you may discover a new show you like. This is a great feature, because they will have all the old episodes listed. Just yesterday I decided to watch the new Caveman series, so I watched the first two episodes online. I didn’t think it was actually as bad as a lot of the bad press it’s been getting.
