If you’re looking for a quick way to convert a favicon for your website, you can do it web based instead of downloading any third party products to your system.

I haven’t had a favicon for a long time and finally decided to create one. I just opened photoshop, made a 16×16 image, the saved it as a PNG. Then I went to the above site and converted it to an ico file. Then you just upload it to your server and add it in between your header tags like such:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico">
