Sprint HTC Mogul
21 February 2008
I thought I’d quickly write about one of my new toys, the HTC Mogul from Sprint.
This is a pretty sweet device. It does everything the iPhone does and more…
The Mogul runs Windows Mobile 6, and there are an infinite amount of applications made for it. The installation of most programs is a breeze, just clicking on a cab file and performing the installation.
I’ve already installed some cool apps such as Google Maps, iPhone themes (still love their interface), and plugins, such as the HTC Home plugin which is very slick.
Because this is a Sprint device is also has EVDO built in. So I’m able to browse and stream music very quick.
The only thing I’m unhappy about so far is the lack of picture messaging. Sprint has decided to block the ability for people to do this. =/
I’ve configured my Gmail account for IMAP, and have my Mogul check my email every 15 minutes. Now I can always be up to date with mail.
I’ve been a long time customer of Verizon, but finally made the switch over to Sprint for my main phone. I was previously a Sprint customer in my college days for nearly five years. However, I’ve still decided to keep my Verizon EVDO and also my work cell phone is Verizon so yes, Verizon I can still hear you. =)
I’m no stranger to the Windows Mobile platform. In the past I had a Palm Treo 700W which I didn’t really care for. I’ve also had PDA’s in the past which had Pocket PC on them such as the Dell Axim.
I’ve recently made another purchase which I’ll probably write about here in the next week or so.
Cheers!
